I'm an origami lover. I'm not an expert and sadly it's not my strenght V_v... But I keep trying. 

When I was a child (not so far ago -I need to think in this way to try to forget that I'm getting old hahaha-) my mam gave me an old origami book. There were lots of typical shapes for kids in it, like the crane, the frog or the penguin. I spent all my summers making the same figures.

As years passed by, I totally forgot this funny art, but these days I'm coming back to this world, and most of the time I'm happy with the final result, but a loooot of time it's exhasperating. I throw away lots of creepy shapes.

But origami is not only for figures, you can apply on other things, like bookmarks, bookcovers, gift wrapping, or like I did: boxes.

I made a square and a triangle box with kissmeNOWpaper. This ones are not exhasperating, there are really easy to make. In fact I've made a workshop this Christmas with some friends and they made the boxes at their first try (I have to confess that I did not, I had to practice a lot to get this result, but it's normal in me, hahaha) 

Me mola el origami. No soy una experta y lamentablemente no se me da muy bien... pero no desisto y lo sigo intentando.

Cuando era pequeña (no hace tanto -ejem-), mi madre me regaló un libro de papiroflexia (si, se llamaba así... no era tan cool como origami). En él habían un montón de formas típicas para niños como la grulla, la rana o el pingüino. Me pasaba los veranos haciendo las mismas figuras.

Con el tiempo olvidé este divertido arte, pero desde hace unos días estoy volviendo a este mundillo y la mayoría de las veces estoy muy contenta con el resultado, aunque muchas es desesperante y no paro de tirar un montón de figuras horribles.

Lo guay del origami es que no es solo para figuras, puedes aplicarlo a otras cosas, como puntos de libros, fundas de libros, envoltorios para regalo, o como he hecho: en cajas.

Una caja cuadrada y otra triangular con papel kissmeNOW. Estos dos ejemplos no son desesperantes, son muy fáciles de hacer. De echo, estas navidades hice un workshop con varias amigas y hicieron las cajas a la primera (aunque tengo que confesar que yo no, tuve que que practicar bastante para coseguir este resultado, pero es normal en mi, jeje)

Christmas confetti

Hello there! Maybe it's too late for this tutorial (Christmas has already ended...) but you can do cute confetti whit a lot of shapes. This example is for christmas three, but if you have another shape machine (like dolfins, dots, apples...) o just your hands -and scissors- (to make squares, or triangles), probably you'll enjoy this easy tutorial.

Simple as it's looks. Put a line of washi tape on the papper and crope the shape as you have with the little machine. And that's all! Soooo easy, right? 

(I bought this washis throught Uguisu -one of the best shops ever!-)

Holaaap! Igual es un poco tarde para este tutorial ya que la Navidad ha pasado... pero podéis hacer confettis supermonos con un montón de formas. Mi ejemplo es con árboles de navidad, pero si tenéis otros cortadores (tipo delfines, topos, manzanas...) o solo vuestras manitas -y tijeras- (para hacer cuadrados o triángulos), es probable que este pequeño tutorial os sirva.

Es tan fácil como parece. Poned una línea de washi tape sobre el papel y cortad con el cortador. ¡Y ya está! Superfácil, ¿verdad? 

(Compré estos washis a través de Uguisu -una de las mejores tiendas del mundo mundiaaal)

Christmas dots wrapping

I -love - christmas. And I love it for one reason: wrapping time! Suddenly you have a lot of presents to give and it's the perfect occasion to spend all the day wrapping gifts.

It's a perfect plan... a desk, scissors, color pens, cute papers, ribbons... life is so good in these moments...

This year I wrap two things with the same dots paper, and this was the result.

(The first one belongs to my nephews, two pretty girls. When I gave them their gifts they destroyed the wrap in a second -really, oooone second, it was incredible, hahahaha-)

Me-encanta-la-navidad. Y me gusta por una simple razón: por envolver. De repente tienes un montón de regalos que dar y es la ocasión perfecta para encerrarte y pasarte el día envolviendo y envolviendo.

Es un planazo: mesa, tijeras, rotuladores, papeles bonitos, lazos... jo, la vida es genial en momentos así, verdad?

Este año he envuelto dos cosas con el mismo papel de topos (ojo, del Primark), y así quedaron.

(La primera foto es de dos bolsas que hice para mis sobrinas, dos niña monísimas. Cuando les di el regalo, destruyeron el envoltorio en un segundo -lo juro, un segundo, todavía estoy alucinada, jajajaja-)
